|Welcome to the home page of Lode Cossaer.
I regularly give lectures and write blogposts on classical liberalism, anarchism and the Austrian School of economics. My fundamental intellectual endeavor is to understand the world we live in and be able to formulate normative recommendations in how we can make this a better world to live in. A long list of people influenced my thinking but Ludwig von Mises, Friedrich Hayek and Murray Rothbard would be the first to mention. James Buchanan, Thomas Sowell, Robert Nozick, Frank van Dun, Randy Barnett, Richard Epstein, Adam Smith and Elinor Ostrom are also highly relevant on this non-exhaustive list. You can find more on my different research interests here.
I am available for lectures on classical liberalism (and related topics). You can find a list of lectures here.
I believe in Hayek’s Theory of Social Change where my goal is to try to work on the academic side of the triangle or, alternatively, on the side where I can help others to become better academics.
You can find my articles (both academic and non-academic) on the articles page on this website.
If you want to find my old blogposts, you can look for them here. Content is mostly in Dutch, though. Here is my new blog on this website. Not particularly active. I try to focus on other things nowadays.
